Yesudas made his playback debut with the Millennium Stars film released in the year 2000, on the composition of Vidyasagar. Prakash Kumar, Harris Jayaraj, and many more. Jayachandran, Karthik Raja, Sabesh Murali, G.V. Not just acclaimed composers, he has also collaborated with the best new-age composers such as M. Rahman, Raveendran, Hamsalekha, Deva, and many others. Yesudas has also collaborated with numerous other top composers such as Dakshinamoorthy Swami, Ilaiyaraaja, A.R. He is popular for songs voiced under acclaimed composer Yuvan Shankar Raja. In early 1997, Yesudas started learning Carnatic music. Since he has a family who is highly involved in music, he was also inclined towards the same.
He graduated from Florida International University with a BA in Music. Yesudas studied in Chennai till 9th grade and later left for the U.S. He is the grandson of stage singer Augustine Joseph. He has an older brother named Vinod and a younger brother named Vishal.
